  TERADYNE OPTIMA 7300 Vintage 2001

  Description :

The Optima 7300 represents the highest throughput Post-Reflow AOI system available today. A single Optima 7300 Post-Reflow system can inspect the largest, highest-density boards while matching the line beat rate. For example, on a typical PC motherboard, the 7300 can inspect up to 250 units per hour including handling and diagnosis. All manuals and software are included.

The below information are collected from website: www.landrex.com

You can now upgrade the functionality of your Landrex 7300-Series Automated Optical Inspection System! New capabilities are available by means of a software upgrade to your existing system. This is the third major release of the system software. The C.0. software package adds new features, and improves many existing modules. Here are descriptions of several of the more prominent features of the C.0. release:

Board Revision Management
This new feature allows you to create an inspection program that is suitable for inspecting up to 64 unique revisions of a printed circuit board assembly. Included are tools for creating new revisions and for managing updates across any or all of the inspection program revisions. This feature makes supporting multiple board revisions easy, keeps programming costs low, and production availability high.

New Coverage and Stability tools
These new tools shorten program tuning and thereby get new programs into production more quickly. A new fault coverage report tells you exactly what is inspected and the types of fault coverages (missing, low solder, etc). An improved debug GUI brings together all related tools and data, integrating the performance worksheet, scanning controls, and lighting controls. This GUI also provides quick, easy global controls when desired for enabling/disabling particular fault coverage types such as low solder. Programmers can now run performance scans on subsections of the overall board, saving scanning time and board handling. In the Performance curves display, the programmer can now show all data points as well as the standard "top 20" (most significant) display. All of these new capabilities shorten overall programming time and get programs up and running more quickly.

New Production Tuning Tool
Once initial program tuning is complete, the inspection program can be evaluated during its first production run. This tool reports data from the initial production run and presents it in a graphical form. Pareto charts are interactive and allow the programmer to "drill down" into the inspection program by clicking on chart elements. Thus, the inspection windows that generated the most prevalent faults can be easily and quickly reviewed for validation and/or improvement. This valuable feature ensures you have precise, accurate, and known inspection quality from the first production board with no need for "trial and error" program tuning during production.

Barcode Reading Enhancements
In addition to existing "1D" reader support, "2D" matrix type bar code reader support is now available. New, easy-to-use barcode reader setup dialogs are included. Also, users can now custom integrate many different commercially available brands of readers on their own. Interactive barcode reading and graphical definition (marking) of various fields within the raw barcode speed up parsing definitions and support up to 12 bar code readers.

AOI Production Reports
This database application sorts, filters, and summarizes data from large production runs. It breaks down the data in the defect database into subcategories of passing and failing boards, then further into confirmed defects, marginal defects, and false flags. Further, the tables break down each of these categories into sub-categories of failures by component and by defect type. Users can also customize the reports, if desired, using the Microsoft Access database tools. The Microsoft Access database application can be run independently of the Optima software. The benefits of this feature is that the AOI group in your company can very accurately characterize the performance of the inspection program, and they can also quantify the performance of the production line over the long term.

Mixed-Board Panel support
This functionality allows the user to create a program for a multi-board panel, which contains dissimilar boards. This could be a panel which is made up of two (or more) completely different board types. Alternatively, it could be a panel that has one board type with some of the boards topside-up and some of the boards bottom-side up. Either way, you can inspect the entire panel with a single inspection program. The feature supports reading in of multiple dissimilar CAD files to "build" the panel's program. Defect data and repair station manage individual board data in the context of the panel.

Internal system software improvements
As a result of further improvements, stability and transportability of programs is enhanced. Two of the more significant items in this category are WarpGuard and WinGuard (Window Guard). WarpGuard ensures that board warp measurement parameters are valid across the full range of possible readings and that readings are being taken in the proper locations. WinGuard analyzes certain inspection window types and locations to ensure that they are stable and not susceptible to false calls from single-pixel position variation. Both of these features ensure your programs will be robust and accurate and will completely minimize false calls.
